In June I spent ten days in the beautiful country of Jordan aiding the Human Relief Foundation in delivering food, clothing and donations to thousands of refugees and orphan children who have fled the conflicts in neighbouring Syria. I met some incredible people, many with harrowing stories of bravery, perseverance and a determination to survive. One Grandmother however, when asked how she was coping with the situation replied, “Death would be easier”.
